Without the proper amount of sleep, your body and mind are not fully able to recover and you will not be in the best shape for making decisions and dealing with possible stress causing situations.

Remember that a modest level of brief stress has its good points, like increased focus, determination, and adrenaline production. Over the long term, stress can cause high blood pressure, obesity and depression.
